The 2012 game is called Rebound Rumble. In each match, two alliances, one red and one blue, composed of three FIRST Robotics Competition teams each, compete on a flat 27' x 54' field (illustrated in the figures). Each alliance competes to earn points by scoring as many basketballs in the hoops as possible. The higher the hoop in which the basketball is scored, the more points the alliance receives. The match ends with robots attempting to earn bonus points by balancing on bridges located in the middle of the field.
