Serving our Community

Cinderella Performances
Every year our high school team puts on a musicale in the fall. This year they performed Cinderella by Rogers and Hammerstein. We helped build programmed parts for the set and make the magic of Cinderella come to life. We spent a couple weeks designing and building a set piece. We had to figure out how to make the pieces move from the operating booth by using wireless controls.

Operation Good Cheer
For over 45 years, the Child and Family Services of Michigan has organized an annual event, Operation Good Cheer (OGC), to bring Christmas gifts to thousands of children in foster care across the state. Always looking to serve our community, the Bionic Black Hawks, joined the cause alongside GM, Bloomfield Hills FTC Robotics team, and other volunteers.

On Saturday December 8th, we joined other community organizations and volunteers at the Pontiac Airport where we helped load donated gifts onto aircrafts and trucks for distribution to children throughout Michigan.

Helping put a smile on the faces of children
Picture
As in past years, our team continued to support Orchards Children’s Services bike assembly for children in Michigan. This is always a fun day of giving back to our community. This year the team contributed to assembling of over 200 bikes.

Forgotten Harvest
Picture
Members of our team spent a day volunteering to support Forgotten Harvest an organization that collects surplus perishable food from stores, restaurants, and food distributors and distributes it free of charges. We helped sort the donated food and packaged it for distribution by Forgotten Harvest.

Life Remodeled
Picture
Members of our team helped support Life Remodeled, a charitable organization in Metro Detroit that helps support neighborhoods, one at a time. We spent a fun fall day supporting the clean-up of a neighborhood in Detroit.
