Each year, our Bionic Black Hawks tackle the FIRST Robotics Challenge (FRC)—strategizing, designing, and building a competition robot in just 6 weeks. Then we compete at regional, state, and world championship levels, earning points and vying for awards in design, safety, engineering, and community impact.
Our mission? Inspire students and our community. The reality? This program is expensive—robot parts and team management run into the tens of thousands. With your support, we can keep fostering tomorrow's engineers and leaders!
Mentoring: Our students teach robotics summer camps and mentor FTC (grades 6–8) and FLL (grades 4–5) teams.
Community: We host FIRST events like the Bloomfield Girls Robotics Competition, fundraise for foster children's holiday gifts, and mentor Detroit's Durfee Elementary-Middle School team, The Robotic Bulldogs.
Advocacy: We champion FIRST locally and globally while encouraging girls and women in STEM/STEAM.
